Biography
Léa Fontaine joined in 2017 from a regional daily, where she had photographed the same port for six years and been told, repeatedly, that it was not a story. She has photographed it every week since, and it is now the longest continuous record of one harbour in the archive.
She shoots two commissions a year, both on the coast, and edits the spring rounds of the Coast project alongside Sophie Martin. Her position on captions is that a place should be able to read its own and recognise itself.
