Biography
Idris Bakare has lived in Dakar since 2013 and has been on the retainer since 2015. He carries the Work project: the slowest of the long projects to arrange, because nobody lets a stranger into a working kitchen for a day, and he is not interested in being a stranger.
His assignments are arranged in months, not weeks. He asks, is refused, comes back, and is eventually allowed to stand in a corner. Most of what the archive holds from inside a shift was made in that corner.
